  • LISA Program Wins in Duck Decorating Contest

    For the second year in a row, the Loveland area Integrated School of the Arts (LISA) program won first place in the 7th-12th grade category of the duck decorating contest for the Loveland Rotary Club Duck Race at the Loveland Corn Roast Festival. Money raised from the duck race and decorated sponsored ducks helps the Loveland Rotary Club fund Chromebooks for 4th and 5th grade classrooms and scholarships for graduating seniors in Thompson School District.

  • Scholarships Abound for Class of 2018

    Over $19.8 million in postsecondary scholarships were awarded to Thompson School District’s graduating class of 2018.

  • Volunteers Donate Time to Thompson School District.

    During the 2017-2018 school year, 3,654 volunteers donated 76,820 hours to Thompson School District.

  • Five Students Receive State FFA Degree

    Eleven Thompson School District students attended the Colorado FFA Convention in Pueblo. Five seniors who just graduated—Sydney Brien, Kelden Cook, Jacob Hewson, Hailie McCrimmon and Rebecca Pennock—received the State FFA Degree, the highest level of FFA membership at the state level. Receiving the state degree requires an application process that documents the member’s activity in a Supervised Agricultural Experience Program or work experience that generated at least 300 hours or $2,500 by their own efforts, as well as participation in leadership activities at the chapter and state level. The recipients all served as officers in the founding years of the Thompson FFA Chapter.

  • TEF Awards Grants to TSD Staff

    Thompson Education Foundation (TEF) awarded six grants totaling $7,672 to Thompson School District (TSD) staff for projects to be completed during the 2018-2019 school year:

    Successful Great Idea Grant applicants demonstrate an out-of-the-ordinary approach that supports student achievement or well-being to enhance the educational experience for TSD students. Encore Grants are awarded to projects that were previously funded by a TEF Great Idea Grant and can demonstrate continued project growth with a second-year grant. TEF partnered with OtterCares Foundation to support a Youth Entrepreneurship Grant to inspire young entrepreneurs.

  • LHS Girls Golf Places at 4A State Golf Tournament

    The Loveland High School girls golf team placed third at the 4A State Golf Tournament. Lauren Lehigh placed second overall.

  • TSD Seniors Earn Seal of Biliteracy

    This year, the first that Thompson School District is offering a Seal of Biliteracy, 55 students achieved the necessary level of proficiency across six different languages to have the seal on their diploma. The seal is earned by reaching national criteria marks for a high level of proficiency in at least two languages. Two students, Jorge Quinones and Juan Acevedo Martinez, achieved the seal for English, Spanish and French for 57 total seals. Of the students who received the Seal of Biliteracy, 18 started with English as their second language and 33 grew up speaking English and learned another language through their schooling.   • LHS Student Places at 5A State Track & Field Championships

    Loveland High School’s Adam Stark took 2nd place in the boys 400-meter dash at the 5A State Track and Field Championships.

  • TVHS Student Places at 4A State Track & Field Championships.

    Thompson Valley High School’s Dylan Schubert placed 3rd in the boys 3,200-meter run at the 4A State Track and Field Championships.

  • BHS Students Medal at 3A State Track & Field Championships

    Berthoud High School had top finishers at the 3A State Track and Field Championships. Jake Rafferty, Ryan Schmad, Trinity Buckley and Connor Siruta took 1st place in the boys 4×100-meter relay. Trinity Buckley, Brock Voth, Jake Rafferty and Ryan Schmad placed 3rd in the boys 4×200-meter relay. Emily Cavey and Kailey Berry finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the girls discus. Cailey Archer took 2nd place in the girls high jump.
