Thompson Education Foundation announced the winners of the 2021 Educator of the Year awards during its Trailblazing Thompson event. These annual awards are supported by King Buick GMC which provides a 60-day car lease to each category winner and a 24-month car lease to the overall TEF Educator of the Year. The 2021 recipients were:

- Elementary Educator – Karen Shumate, Mary Blair Elementary School
- Secondary Educator – Ericka Griess, Mountain View High School
- Principal – Deon Davis, Coyote Ridge Elementary School
- Principal – Ian Stout, Loveland Classical Schools
- TSD Staff – Jordan Jennings, Berthoud High School
