Ivy Stockwell Elementary School’s outdoor classroom is one of eight projects to receive a grant from the Larimer County Department of Natural Resources’ Small Grants for Community Partnering program in 2019. The Parent Teacher Organization at Ivy Stockwell received $2,024 for meadow installation, the fourth phase of the outdoor classroom at the school. Students, teachers and community members built the classroom as a place for students to learn outdoors. Classes at the school can access the outdoor space for a variety of lessons, from math to science to language arts, and students and parents tend the gardens and landscaping.
