The McKee Wellness Foundation distributed $24,000 in wellness grants to Thompson School District schools from their Heart Health program. Schools who had community participation in the Loveland Turkey Trot received a grant to support various wellness initiatives at their site. This year, TSD had 471 participants take part in the local race. Schools will utilize funding for needs such as replacing worn recess equipment, revitalizing school gardens and supporting running clubs.
