LHS's Crimson Regiment Wins Legacy Marching Invitational

Loveland High School’s Crimson Regiment marching band took first place at the Legacy Marching Invitational at Mountain Ridge High School in Westminster. The competition, which featured 23 marching bands, was the high school’s second so far this season and the first to hold grand finals that includes bands from all size divisions. Loveland High took first in the 4A division during preliminaries with a score of 76.1. Scoring is based on a combination of musical performance, visual performance and general effect. The top 12 bands then moved on to the finals where Loveland High took first place with a score of 76.5, finishing ahead of Fossil Ridge High School, a division 5A band, and D’Evelyn High School, a 3A band. The band’s show, which stays the same throughout the season, is called Einstein’s Dreams and explores Albert Einstein’s discovery of the theory of relativity. It features a variety of music including original compositions, Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time,” and music from the Pixar film “Inside Out.”
