Loveland High School’s music education program earned the SupportMusic Merit Award from the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation. To qualify for the award, band director and music department chair Kyle Freesen provided information about program funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities and support. The school’s music staff includes Freesen, director of choirs Nicole Ceciliani, director of orchestras Daniel Smith and director of percussion Michael Williams. About 500 students participate in music classes and extracurricular ensembles offered through Loveland High School, which includes concert and chamber orchestras; jazz, concert, chamber and mixed choirs, two women’s choirs and one men’s choir; a musical and supporting pit orchestra; three levels of bands and two jazz bands; and a symphony orchestra.
