Mountain View High School senior Ashley Arthur was crowned Miss Loveland Valentine 2020 by the Loveland Chamber of Commerce and Thompson Valley Rotary Club during a luncheon at House of Neighborly Service. Miss Loveland Valentine candidates are nominated by school administrators for being peer leaders and having at least a 3.0 GPA and plans to attend college in the coming year. The candidates gave a three-minute speech on the topic “Loveland, My Community,” submitted a 300- to 500-word essay and completed an interview before a panel of five judges. The winner is expected to be an active member of the community in both service and spirit, to speak in front of the Colorado Senate during Valentine’s season, to kick off Loveland’s annual valentine remailing program and more.
