Six Thompson School District staff members received 2019 Educator of the Year awards from Thompson Education Foundation at its annual Educator Appreciation Breakfast. Students, parents and coworkers nominated 82 educators across four different categories. The recipients were:

–TSD Staff Members of the Year – Margaret Skrobacz, early childhood speech pathologist, Berthoud/Turner Early Childhood Center, and Jen Schwab, counselor, Mountain View High School
n
–Elementary Educator of the Year – Annamarie Pike, kindergarten teacher, Berthoud Elementary School
n
–Secondary Educator of the Year – Christine Marshall, mathematics teacher, Loveland High School
n
–Principal Educator of the Year – Rick Bowles, principal, Ivy Stockwell Elementary School
n
An overall recipient was chosen from all four categories:

–Thompson Education Foundation Educator of the Year – Michael Pintaric, technology and engineering teacher, Loveland High School
n
Category winners were awarded a 60-day vehicle lease and the TEF Educator of the Year was awarded a two-year vehicle lease from King Buick GMC. Each recipient also received a $200 gift card from Thompson Education Foundation.
