Eleven Thompson School District students attended the Colorado FFA Convention in Pueblo. Five seniors who just graduated—Sydney Brien, Kelden Cook, Jacob Hewson, Hailie McCrimmon and Rebecca Pennock—received the State FFA Degree, the highest level of FFA membership at the state level. Receiving the state degree requires an application process that documents the member’s activity in a Supervised Agricultural Experience Program or work experience that generated at least 300 hours or $2,500 by their own efforts, as well as participation in leadership activities at the chapter and state level. The recipients all served as officers in the founding years of the Thompson FFA Chapter.
