LHS Students Place in SkillsUSA Competition

Loveland High School Project Design Team students competed in the SkillsUSA competition in Colorado Springs. Fourteen students qualified for nationals, which will be held in Louisville, Kentucky. Gold medal recipients were: Kiron Blazik, Jennea Marshall, Yashvi Naik and Megan Wills in Entrepreneurship; Cody Stecklein, Hailey Pritchard, Jacklen Carr, Jaiden Lussier and Sora Lenz in Quiz Bowl; Hayley Hansen, Garrett Sollin and Brittany Martinko in Community Service; Pratik Patel in Related Technical Math; and Megan Wills in Customer Service. Silver medal recipients were Elaina Martain in Customer Service; Haley Pritchard in Facilithon; and Garret Sollin in Pen Design. Bronze medal recipients were: Jaiden Lussier in Facilithon; Elaina Martain, Garret Sollin, Jacob Sloat, Protik Patel and Megan Wills in Quiz Bowl; Brittany Martinko in Customer Service; Haley Pritchard in Related Technical Math; and Angel Valle Gaytan in Pen Design. New SkillsUSA state officers are Jennea Marshall and Lexis Micheal. SkillsUSA is a national membership association serving middle school, high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations, and for further education.
